The CL-HT-AL is a high-tension set of nylon and silver-plated wound strings for classical guitar. The trebles (E, B, G) are clear nylon, while the basses (D, A, low E) use a silver-plated copper winding over a nylon core for a bright, harmonically rich tone.
Compared with normal-tension sets, the higher tension drives the guitar's top more firmly, increasing projection, articulation and dynamic range so melody lines cut through more clearly. This makes the set well suited to solo or ensemble performance, and to instruments that otherwise sound a little dark or quiet
