Why should large people have all the fun? That’s not fair! That’s why Ibanez released the Paul Gilbert Signature MiKro PGMM21. This short-scale electric guitar was tailor-made for smaller hands. And Music Experience guitarists like to travel with it, too! The PGMM21 sounds and plays like a guitar with Paul’s name on it should — its Infinity R humbuckers yield a thick and punchy tone that’s perfect for rock and metal, while its thin, short-scale neck and medium-gauge frets ensure a great playing experience. And true to many of Paul’s larger models, the PGMM21 boasts a hardtail bridge that keeps your tuning rock solid. Now there's a Paul Gilbert signature Ibanez for everyone!

A duo of Infinity R pickups gives you massive tonal range

Loaded with a duo of Infinity R humbuckers, the PGMM21 yields a range of impressive tones. The neck position humbucker is voiced for warmer, richer tone, while the bridge humbucker is a brilliant lead pickup: vibrant yet snarling with an enhanced midrange output when you push it. If you're after maximum tonal tenacity, the Ibanez PGMM21 will give your amplifier what you need.

Comfortable short-scale neck

A guitar is only as playable as its neck — good thing the Ibanez Paul Gilbert Signature MiKro PGMM21 has a smooth and fast-playing maple neck. This comfortable short-scale neck is capped by a treated New Zealand pine fingerboard with a super-flat 15.7" radius and 24 medium frets, giving you the agility to execute fast, single-note runs with ease.

Enjoy the tuning stability benefits of a hardtail bridge

Dive-bombs can be fun, but many guitarists prefer the absolute stability of a hardtail bridge — legions of ace guitarists won't go anywhere near a whammy bar. If you're in this camp, then the PGMM21 is your kind of axe. The PGMM21’s fixed bridge anchors the strings, giving you a rock-solid platform for your music.

What Ibanez Says...

From platinum album sales and number one chart success as a founding member of MR. BIG, to frightening the guitar community with new levels of ferocious picking technique with shred-pioneers RACER X, to exploring punk, pop, classical, blues, jazz, and progressive instrumental styles in his solo career, Paul Gilbert has recorded a massive amount of stunning guitar music, all while circling the globe to play sold-out arenas from Japan to Jakarta.  Paul's style stands out for its rare combination of accuracy, creativity, and power ? all which are balanced with Paul's sense of humor and pure love of music. Although Paul is best known for his work with MR. BIG and RACER X, he has also toured with Joe Satriani's G3, played in a host of tribute concerts with legendary drummer Mike Portnoy, and been integral in the design of his signature Ibanez PGM and Fireman guitars. Paul's legacy as a guitar instructor began when he was eighteen, when he was hired to teach at Hollywood's Guitar Institute of Technology. Paul's groundbreaking "Intense Rock" videos and DVDs have inspired legions of guitarists to improve their accuracy, speed, and phrasing. Years as a columnist for Guitar Player and Premier Guitar magazines, along with giving countless clinics, private lessons, and serving for five years as the dean of MI Japan, have given Paul deep experience in the art of communicating music to all levels of guitarists. Paul currently teaches at his Online Rock Guitar School at Artistworks to help guitarists everywhere improve their technique and musicality. And Paul's Great Guitar Escape music camp has allowed him to inspire students in a live VIP setting. Catch Paul on tour with Mr. Big, with his solo band, or on a clinic tour.
