Details

Presentation Switchers has announced a sleep mode for its PS Series 500 digital presentation switchers that lowers power consumption to two watts.

The feature is available to existing dealer installations through a firmware upgrade. It disconnects power to the entire system except the controller card using a single RS-232 command.

Another RS-232 command restores the system to ready-status. The PS550 and PS530 models will see power consumption drop to two watts and one watt respectively.
